Cheshire's best BBQ food delivered to your door
We’ve only just landed in 2021 and I’m already wishing it was summer – all because of Ant and his smokey meat.
I LOVE Winter and everything that comes with it. Long nights sat in candlelight, duvet days, and crisp walks in the park. But thanks to Ant at Smoke Fire Flame, I would happily be taken straight past Go, pick up my £200, and be plopped right into a non socially distanced summer BBQ. Please? Ok, I’ll settle for a meat feast night in then.
On our first installment of #WhatsOnTheMenuCheshire we asked you what we should eat – This was one of the many recommendations. Thank you. Thank you all for having such good taste.
As you’re probably used to hearing now, we ordered an embarrassingly large amount of food. We ate so much we needed to nap afterward. Totally worth it.
Smoke Fire Flame takes inspiration from the smokehouses of America. They smoke their own meats using lump wood charcoal, Apple, and hickory. Ensuring only the best, smokiest taste. We can now happily tell you they go beyond delivering “smokey awesomeness”. As if from an episode of Netflix Chefs Table BBQ edition their menu will have you salivating before you know it. So much meat to eat, and so little time. From Brisket & Pulled pork to Texas hotlink and smoked beer can chicken. So much to choose from.
We ordered the Espresso Rubbed brisket. It’s smoked until it develops the gnarliest, flakiest bark that I’ve ever seen. The meat literally fell apart. We actually wanted to take a photo of the brisket being sliced but we couldn’t apply pressure to our knife without it all falling apart. Yes, it’s THAT tender. #FirstWorldProblems. This brisket is so versatile too. Brisket burgers? Eat With your bare hands? We used the leftovers for chips covered in brisket, leftover pit beans, and cheese. Judge me if you like, I don’t mind.
We didn’t stop there with our order though, we also ordered Pork burnt ends. They’re coated in a thick and sticky Kansas city glaze... You know when you take a bite of something and your eyes roll back like a scene from Jaws. Yeah, it was like that for me. Every eye-roll was as good as the last. It’s no wonder we’ve had lots of messages recommending we try them.
Before I write this next part please promise not to throw your phone or unfollow us in anger, but I’m not the biggest fan of chicken wings. I find them too much hassle for not a lot of reward. But if you watched the BTS Stories of this shoot you’ll of seen me tucking into these little beauties. We couldn’t help ourselves. Lots of meat on the wings. Didn’t need to chew through loads of gristle. I’d happily order wings if they all come like this.
Obviously, we needed some sides to go with our meat so we ordered the Mac & Cheese. Popped it in the oven and took it out when the cheese started to bubble and crisp. (Top tip: Pop a burnt end inside the mac and fish it out with your fork! Insane).
Another new one for me; Corn on the cob with Cajun butter. It was every bit as good as you’re imagining. Corn on the cob is always a winner but the butter that was dripping all over my face left a gentle cajun kiss to keep me wanting more. The pit beans were beautiful too. Featuring 5 different types of beans in a barbeque sauce, you’ll never want a tin of basic beans again.
The final side was the Slaw. I’m never calling it Coleslaw again. Slaw sounds so much cooler, doesn’t it? This slaw is distinctively different than others you may have tried. This isn’t a side that has been put on the menu to fill space, Ant has taken time to make sure that this would work with his menu; it’s a sweet slaw that tastes like apples and really compliments the smokey meat feast you’ll be tucking into. It added a great crunchy texture to our brisket burgers too.
I could keep talking about this amazing food all day, but for now, I’ll daydream about the BBQs I’m going to be having in the Summer!
As mentioned, you can order some of this delicious food to be delivered straight to your door.
