Roast at The Coast, Prestbury
To call The Coast in Prestbury a hidden gem these days would be slightly misleading. The secret is out, The Coast is firmly on the foodie favourites list and you’ll be hard-pushed to book a table on the day! So a word of warning, always book in advance.
This much-loved village hotspot is widely known for its warm welcome, relaxed atmosphere and fantastic food. Unless to live in Prestbury, however, you may not know that its Sunday roast (lovingly dubbed The Roast at The Coast) is just as delicious as the rest of their offering.
The Coast leave pretension at the door (despite what you may think, considering this is also a Celebrity favourite) and away from their kitchen. Italian food celebrates great produce and proudly keeps its recipes “simple”. This is exactly how the award-winning kitchen team at The Coast treat their Main Menu & Sunday Lunch.
Using the finest, locally sourced (of course) produce, this Sunday roast manages to keep in line with what one would expect for a traditional roast; Tender and juicy fillet beef, perfect pork with a delicate crackling. Golden brown roast potatoes and a giant Yorkshire pudding for mopping up that deep, rich gravy. A very welcome appearance from the very underrated Cabbage and Cauliflower & Cheese. Always a winner in our eyes.
“Cracked Black Pepper?” Yes, please…
If a laid-back but dressy roast dinner is what you’re looking for, you won’t go wrong in this slice of the Amalfi Coast. Bookings are advised as they are very busy on a Sunday.
*This food was gifted to us, however, The Coast are not exempt from our critique. This is a true representation of our experience.
