Owners Sandeep and Donya are storytellers and real food lovers. You feel it as soon as you step through the doors. Bombay to Mumbai will take you on a journey. A culinary voyage from the roots of Bombay to modern-day Mumbai. The transition is painted all over the walls. Genuine paintings and prints from the days of Bombay, leading to an installation of the modern architecture of Mumbai.

Street food, house curries and traditional tandoori all feature on this menu. I can, hand on heart, promise you will find something on this menu you have not eaten in any other Indian restaurant.

For example Sindhi Dal Pakwan. Also known as Sandeep’s Sunday breakfast. A lentil curry delicacy cooked with dry mango powder, tamarind and spices. Served with crispy pakwan (a crispy type of bread). You can stir it all together and spoon it on your bread, or just go right in and scoop it! We like to scoop!

You’ll find cocktails, mocktails and concoctions in vessels you’ve never seen.. or dreamed of.

Some people are scared away from “Indian” food because they fear spice. Here, the heaviest spice is an enjoyable heat. It won’t be overpowering the other wonderful, fresh flavours on your plate (or shovel?).

If our pictures are not enough to get you excited, Bombay to Mumbai are steeped in accolades too. Cheshire Life awarded them with Outstanding Customer Service and they were even featured in Waitrose Good Food Guide! Don’t worry, we’ll leave the booking link below.

We’ll be back to make our way around the rest of the menu soon. See you there.
